Description
The PRA-MPS3 combines several support functions in one 2U unit to power and serve other PRAESENSA devices. It converts mains power to supervised 48 V DC for up to three amplifiers and 24 V DC for the system controller, and charges a single 12 V backup battery, which is simpler to install and maintain than conventional 24 V or 48 V battery banks.
A built-in 6-port Ethernet switch (five RJ45 ports, two with PoE for call stations, plus one SFP port for fibre) supports redundant network cabling with RSTP. Eight control inputs and eight control outputs connect fire alarm triggers and external equipment, and the unit provides an analogue lifeline backup audio path to each connected amplifier.
The power supply is certified to EN 54-4 for voice alarm power supply equipment, making it suitable for life-safety installations in hospitals, schools and public buildings.
