Description
The PRA-AD608 is a compact, multi-channel power amplifier for 100 V or 70 V loudspeaker systems in PRAESENSA public address and voice alarm installations. Its 600 W of output power is shared flexibly across all eight channels, so each channel draws only the power its connected loudspeaker load needs. This makes efficient use of amplifier capacity and reduces the number of amplifiers in the rack.
Every channel has its own DSP for equalisation, limiting, delay and level, and the amplifier is fully supervised. An integrated spare channel automatically takes over if a channel fails, and an analogue lifeline input keeps emergency announcements running even if the network connection is lost.
Low power consumption and heat loss reduce the size of the backup batteries and the cooling load in the equipment room. The amplifier is powered at 48 V DC from a PRAESENSA multifunction power supply.
